20-Minute Rule of Thumb
Sometimes we don’t have a precisely tuned wine cabinet, or we need to improvise for one reason or another. That’s where simple rules of thumb come in handy. The 20-minute rule is a straightforward yet effective guideline to get the most out of your next pour.
When it comes to enjoying wine at its finest, temperature matters just as much as the varietal and vintage. Reds should generally be served at about 60-65°F (15-18°C), and whites around 50-55°F (10-13°C). Neither straight from the wine rack or fridge!
Red Wine Tip: Pop your red wine in the fridge for 20 minutes before serving. Room temperature is too warm for most reds, muddling lighter flavors and accentuating alcohol. A slight chill brings out the wine’s complexity and balance.
White Wine Tip: Take your white wine out of the fridge 20 minutes before pouring. Serving whites too cold suppresses aromas and accentuates acidity. Letting them warm slightly helps reveal their true character.
Once your wine reaches its target temperature, the Ona Wine Sleeve will maintain it there longer, optimizing your drinking and tasting experience.

HOW ONA WORKS

THE LATTICE
The Lattice is a collection of carefully-designed insulating thermal pods held together by a precision-engineered flexible steel frame.
This lattice stabilizes the bottle’s temperature (similar to how a typical Igloo cooler works with ice or food), and can be easily shaped to conform to the curves of a wide range of bottle shapes.

THE TRIVET & ICE PACK
The bottle and lattice fit onto a beautiful wooden Trivet. This trivet is fitted with a removable, custom-designed Ice Pack, which actively chills the bottle from below.
