Mission figs get their name from Franciscan missionaries, who carried fig cuttings to California in the 18th century. Cardamom traveled even further, moving along overland trade routes from Sri Lanka as early as the 12th century. Vanilla made a similarly long journey — native to Mexico, it wasn't grown successfully outside the Americas until French growers brought it to Madagascar in the 19th century, where most of the world's vanilla is still farmed today.
Nomads' Nectar brings these three well-traveled ingredients together, turning plain vodka into something closer to a dessert liqueur. Dried figs carry less water than fresh, so the infusion stays concentrated rather than diluted.
